PUBLIC NOTICE
The Board of Supervisors of Salem Township is soliciting bids for traffic signal equipment repairs at one (1) signalized intersection along State Route 22 within the Township. The bid amount must include furnishing, constructing, installing, removing and testing all equipment, materials and products necessary and as required in the scope of work. All work is to be performed within the public rights of way. Any work performed outside of any public right of way will be the CONTRACTOR’S responsibility to coordinate with private property owners. Copies of the Contract Documents and Specifications will be on file and open to public review, examination or procurement, beginning March 2, 2026 at the Murrysville Municipal Building, 4100 Sardis Road, Murrysville PA, 15668. There is no cost for the documents and specifications.
Proposals are to be sealed, accompanied by a 25% Bid Surety and delivered to the Murrysville Municipal Building, 4100 Sardis Road Murrysville Pa., 15668, attention Chief Administrator, and marked “CRACK SEALING PROJECT, DPW-4-26”. Any proposals received after the above date and time will not be accepted. Additionally, no bid will be returned once submitted. After review and comparison of all submitted bids, the required bid surety of the three (3) lowest responsible Bidders shall be retained, all others will be returned. When the Contract has been awarded and executed and all requisite surety bonds provided the bid surety of the two (2) remaining unsuccessful Bidders will be returned to them.
Notice is given to prospective Bidders that contract award review will include total cost, unit cost and alternate cost which will most benefit the Municipality of Murrysville. The Municipality reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to accept or reject any or all bids submitted thereunder or any part hereof or item therein, and to readvertise for bid, if the Council of Murrysville so deems it necessary. The Municipality of Murrysville also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, or omission, irregularities or informalities in the bids received.

EXAMINATION NOTICE
Forms required to be completed in order to apply for the position of police officer for the Delmont Borough Police Department are available at the Borough Office located at 77 Greensburg Street, Delmont, PA 15626. In addition to the mandatory testing process, applicants must have a current Pennsylvania ACT 120 Certificate; Each applicant must submit a non-refundable $25 administration fee to obtain the application packet. Applicants must reach their twenty-first (21st) birthday before the deadline for submitting completed application as required in Section 3.4 of the Civil Service requirements.
Completed applications must be turned into the Borough Office during normal business hours NO LATER than noon (12 :00 PM) on March 16, 2026.
A written examination will be held on a date and time to be determined after applications have been submitted. All applicants will be notified of this examination date in writing at the address set forth in the application. Other mandatory testing components are an oral examination, a background check, a fitness test, a medical examination, and a psychological examination.

PUBLIC NOTICE
As requested by the Department of Environmental Protection, we do hereby give notice that Brandon Nedley has submitted a Sewage Facilities Planning Module, Component 3s, to Penn Township for two proposed four-bedroom single family dwellings. This proposal is for the construction of a small flow treatment facility with discharge into UNT Brush Creek (TSF). The system will be used to treat the sewage from the proposed dwellings on the proposed lots. The site is located on the east side of Baker School Road, approximately 0.5 miles southwest of the intersection of Simpson Road and Baker School Road in Penn Township, Westmoreland County. The anticipated sewage flow from the facility is 1000 gallons per day (2.50 Equivalent Dwelling Units). The Sewage Facilities Planning Module for this sewage treatment facility is available for public review at the Penn Township Office. Comments will be accepted for thirty (30) days following the date of this public notice and may be sent to Penn Township, 2001 Municipal Court, Harrison City, PA 15636.
